Group B of the EURO 2008 will be played in Austria (Vienna and Klagenfurt). The teams: Austria, Croatia, Germany and Poland.

Austria: Özcan replaces Payer in the squad
Organizer Austria is the biggest outsider of the EURO 2008. Manager Josef Hickersberger nominated on Wednesday his 23-man squad for the home European championship. Including Oldie Ivica Vastic (LASK Linz). The 38-year-old midfielder was nominated on account of his big experience. Paul Scharner (Wigan Athletic) has not been selected.
Hickersberger reacted to the good achievements of some players of Rapid Wien. Thus immediately four players from the new Austrian champion stands in the squad. For the first time midfielder Ümit Korkmaz who already protected himself a fixed place for the EURO on account of strong achievements in the training. Team colleagues Helge Payer (injured) has been ruled out of the EURO08 and replaced in the squad by Ramazan Özcan (Hoffenheim).
Austria faces in Group B on Croatia (8th June), Poland (12th June) and Germany (16th June). The achievement of the quarterfinal would already be a nice success.

Bilić names Croatian squad for EURO 2008
Croatia coach Slaven Bilić has named as first team manager of the 16 nations his squad for EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
The Croatian 23-man squad contains no big surprises, although midfielder Nikola Pokrivač from AS Monaco has earned a call-up for the first time. The 22-year-old midfield player showed strong achievements and counts as big hope in the defensive midfield of the Croatian team.
Forward Mladen Petrić from Borussia Dortmund became fit at right time after his back injury and, hence, he is present in the EURO squad of Croatia.
Croatia meets in the Group B on organizer Austria (8th June in Vienna), Germany (12th June in Klagenfurt) and finally on Poland (16th June in Klagenfurt).

Jogi Löw nominates his squad for upcoming Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
The biggest surprises in the german squad: Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen) replaces second goalkeeper of last WorldCup 2006 Timo Hildebrand (FC Valencia).
Also David Odonkor (Betis Sevilla) and Tim Borowski (Werder Bremen) took their last chance to get one place in germans team.
2 international friendlies against Belarus and Serbia will be played before Germany faces Poland on the 8 of june in Klagenfurt. The other 2 group games will be against Croatia on June 12 (Klagenfurt) and Austria on june 16 (Vienna).

Poland: Beenhakker nominated Roger Guerreiro
The Poland manager Leo Beenhakker has nominated his 23-man squad for the EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland included Roger Guerreiro. The 25-year-old Roger Guerreiro (Legia Warszawa) was recently granted Polish citizenship by the country's President Lech Kaczyński.
Poland right-winger Jakub Błaszczykowski is likely to miss all three of his country's pre-UEFA EURO 2008 friendly games (against Macedonia, Albania and Denmark) through injury but the 22-year-old midfielder from Borussia Dortmund is hopeful of being fit for the first game of the tournament against Germany on 8 June in Klagenfurt.
