European Football Union (UEFA) announced to investigate 40 cases of match-fixing in the Champions League and UEFA Cup.
Director of the UEFA disciplinary departments Peter Limaher said to explore the games most clubs from Eastern Europe in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup, which were played in the last four years.
Limaher pointed out that the UEFA warned of suspicious betting. - In some cases we have seen that matches planned furnished. Perhaps we will need time to prove guilt, but it will be possible in cases where we cooperate with the police - said Peter Limaher.
