After the games of the World Cup Qualifiers, let’s have a look again at the games of Serie A – and this weekend, or more precisely, this saturday afternoon, there’s one of the great classics in italian soccer: Juventus vs Fiorentina, traditionally one of the hottest derbies of the Serie A.
Cesare Prandelli’s boys will certainly be satisfied with Alberto Gilardino, whos goal at Dublin’s Croke Park has meant the direct qualification for Italy. Maybe his great form can make the difference for his team in the italian championship as well.
For Juve as well some players were playing for their national teams this week – apart from Iaquinta and Cannavaro also Poulsen (Danmark), Grygera (Czech Republic) and Carceres (Uruguay).
Ciro Ferrara’s Juve has had some difficulties in the last weeks with a defeat in Palermo (0-2), a home draw against Bologna (1-1), and also their Champions League game in Munich against Bayern (0-0) was not a very brilliant game.
Fiorentina on the other hand is doing a bit better in the moment, they have won two out of their last three games in the Serie A (in Livorno and against Sampdoria) and have had one draw (0-0 at home against Lazio), and in Champions League they have beaten Liverpool in a memorable game (2-0). Let’s see if they can continue their run against Diego, Iaquinta & co.
Juventus – Fiorentina
Stadio Olimpico, Torino
Sat 17th October 2009
Kick-off at 3 p.m.
Maybe Fiorentina is slightly better at the moment, but Juventus hasn’t lost any of their Serie A home games this season. The logical result might therefore be a draw.
My Tip is x, the best odd is on Bet365 with 3,40.
In my opinion the result after the first half will also be x – in this case too you find the best odd at Bet365: 2,20.
