Recently, it became known that coach of Russian national football team signed a contract with Juventus. Gus Hidding conducted negotiations with the technical director of Juve Roberto Bettego and both parties reached the agreement.

The current contract of the coach expires in winter 2010. Russian Footboll Federation proposed several times to Gus Hidding to stay for 2 more years and lead the national team to the final of european championship. However Gus Hiding did not confirm the fact that he will be coaching Juventus. Therefore it is not clear what decision he will take regarding the national team, since last year he managed to combine these two positions , being the coach of Chealsea.

At the moment Juve is not the best posisition, they are on 3rd position in the home championship, still far away from their main rival - Inter.
