Although
Arsenal have had an disproportional amount of injuries this season, the Gunners have managed to put themselves in a position to clinch the top spot. A win over
Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night would see the Gunners tied for 1st with
Chelsea FC.
Arsene Wenger has done well to keep his team in contention and will be rewarded as several key players are returning to fitness.
Cesc Fabregas returned last week, scoring a goal to put the Gunners ahead of Bolton Wanderers for an important 3 points.
Theo Walcott,
Denilson and
Nicklas Bendtner are approaching game fitness and could feature within the next week.
Despite his success, the Frenchman has become increasingly frustrated with the continual injury problems his team is facing. In the last 2 matches Aaron Ramsey, Amir Nasri and
Francisco Merida all picked up knocks that will have them out for a few weeks.
Wenger commented on the situation: "We have analysed absolutely everything."
"It is strange because the more injuries you get, you then seem to get even more because you always play the same players."
"Also, you rush some players back and then you have more chance to get them injured again."
