Marcello Lippi's Italy before the end of the national championship.
Yesterday the coach of the
Squadra Azzurra has announced the complete list of his convocations, amongst them
three new players:
Sirigu (goalkeeper of Palermo),
Bonucci (Bari, defense) and
Cossu (Cagliari, midfield). An interesting news also the return of Milan's
Marco Borriello. On the other hand some important players will not play, as for instance
Buffon, Grosso or Zambrotta (injured), or also
Balotelli and
Del Piero (not considered by Lippi).
For Cagliari's
Andrea Cossu it is a very special feeling to be called into the National team, he describes it as "the most beautiful moment in my career". Interesting detail: Cossu is the first Cagliari-born player to ever play for the Squadra Azzurra.
