French President
Nicolas Sarkozy has asked sports minister Roselyne Bachelot to extend her stay in South Africa to restore some order to
les Bleus ahead of their final group stage match.
She is scheduled to meet with Patrice Evra,
Raymond Domenech and Jean-Pierre Escalettes, head of the French Football Federation.
Bachelot has remarked: "We are taking note of the indignation of the French people. We are calling for dignity and responsibility. Its not yet the right time to take disciplinary action - but that time will come very soon."
Franck Ribery has stated how embarrassing he feels the situation has become. The French midfielder said "Everyone in the whole world is mocking us now. I'm gutted, because we're not playing football anymore.
France will play their final group A match on Tuesday against hosts
South Africa.
