An Overview to the World Cup 2010 European Zone Groups after the matches played in Saturday Night

On road to World Cup 2010 in South Africa, 24 games played in nine groups of European Section. There is no big surprise except Faroe Islands - Austria game. 57 goals have been scored by the players.

Lets check out the groups:

Group 1:
Sweden – Portugal : 0-0
Denmark – Malta : 3-0
Hungary – Albania : 2-0

Portugal got a good one point in Sweden. Denmark was too big for Malta.
Hungary got three point that they really needed.

Group 2:
Luxembourg – Israel : 1-3
Switzerland – Latvia : 2-1
Greece – Moldova : 3-0

Israel ended the dream of Luxembourg with a clear win. On the other hand,
Switzerland woke up from the nightmare with Latvia win.Greece had no mistake
until now.

Group 3:
Poland – Czech Rep. : 2-1
San Marino – Slovakia : 1-3
Slovenia – N. Ireland : 2-0

Czech team started very badly, only one point in two away games. Slovakia did
no mistake before tough Poland game. Slovenia is going well, match against
Czech Rep. will be a real test for their world cup dream.

Group 4:
Finland – Azerbaijan : 1-0
Wales – Liechtenstein : 2-0
Germany – Russia : 2-1

After Germany draw, Finland proved that I’m in...Wales did what they ecpected
to do. Germany defeated his nearest rival. Now, Russia must defeat Finland.

Group 5:
Turkey – Bosnia : 2-1
Estonia – Spain : 0-3
Belgium – Armenia : 2-0

After Belgium draw in Istanbul, Turkey came behind in Bosnia match. Estonia
and Armenia was easy for Spain and Belgium.

Group 6:
England – Kazakhstan : 5-1
Ukraine – Croatia : 0-0

In the second half of Kazakhstan match, there was an Englans storm. An away
point was good enough for Croatia after England disaster at home.

Group 7:
Faroe Islands – Austria : 1-1
Serbia – Lithuania : 3-0
Romania – France : 2-2

It was almost a historical night for Faroe Islands. Austria is really disappointed
after big France win. Romania missed a great chance to defeat France after
leading with two goals.

Group 8:
Georgia – Cyprus : 1-1
Bulgaria – Italy : 0-0

Neither Georgia nor Cyprus...Both of the teams are unhappy with the result.
Italy is still undefeated and Bulgaria is still without win.

Group 9:
Scotland – Norway : 0-0
Netherlands – Iceland : 2-0

Match against Netherlands will crucial for Norway after no win in two games.
Netherlands got a clear win against bottom team of the group.
