An Overview to the World Cup 2010 European Zone Groups after the matches played in Wednesday Night

On road to World Cup 2010 in South Africa, 22 games played in nine groups of European Section. There are some surprises including Portugal-Albania, Greece-Switzerland and Estonia-Turkey. 47 goals have been scored by the players.

Lets check out the groups:

Group 1:
Malta – Hungary : 0-1
Portugal – Albania : 0-0

Portugal must be crazy...Albania defenced well; but the offence is nothing else.
Hungary is keep going on.

Group 2:
Latvia – Israel : 1-1
Luxembourg – Moldova : 0-0
Greece – Switzerland : 1-2

Israel is so sorry with last minute goal. Is Luxembourg sorry or happy, who knows?
Switzerland defeated Greece and had a most valuable win of the night..
Greece must be more carefull now.

Group 3:
Slovakia – Poland : 2-1
N.Ireland – San Marino : 4-0
Czech Rep. – Slovenia : 1-0

At the end, Czehc Rebuplic came back. N.Ireland players are not very tired.
Sestak who scored twice was a kind of nightmare for Polonia.

Group 4:
Russia – Finland : 3-0
Germany – Wales : 1-0

Russia gave a message to Germany: “You are not alone”.
Germany is still sitting on top of the group.

Group 5:
Estonia – Turkey : 0-0
Belgium – Spain : 1-2
Bosnia-Herzigovina – Armenia : 4-1

In a match that could end as a goal fiesta game, Turkey couldn’t defeat the Latvian goalkeeper. Spain proved that they are the best of this group.
Bosnia is still fighting for World Cup dream.

Group 6:
Croatia – Andorra : 4-0
Belarus – England : 1-3

Croatia is still chasing England...England..oh..They won again!

Group 7:
Lithuania – Faroe Islands : 1-0
Austria – Serbia : 1-3

Lithuania is still in the contest. Is that Austria that defeated France?
Serbia was too strong for Austria.

Group 8:
Ireland Rep. – Cyprus : 1-0
Georgia – Bulgaria : 0-0
Italy – Montenegro : 2-1

Ireland Republic did a good job. Georgia and Bulgaria are still winless.
Italy didn’t have any trouble with Montenegro.

Group 9:
Norway – Netherlands : 0-1
Iceland – Macedonia : 1-0

Netherlands got a great win in Norway. Iceland’s hopes are still ongoing.
