Austria vs Sweden

UPC- Arena, Graz
On wednesday Austria will host Sweden in the UPC in GRAZ for the first international friendly in 2009. After a bad year 2008 – and disappointing Euro 2008 – the Austrian look forward to a better 2009. In the first game this year Austria faces Sweden, a team that also didn't reach the Quarterfinal in EC2008 (only a 2-0 victory against Greece).
Sweden started to the WC2010 qualifier not as good as Austria (2-1 vs Hungary and 0-0 vs Portigal at home, 0-0 in Albania) but compared to Austria (3-1 vs France and 1-3 vs Serbia at home, 0-2 in Lithunia and 1-1 at Faroer Islands) is Sweden still on a good way to Southafrica 2010.
