Portugal faces in the top fixture of Group 1 on
Sweden (Saturday, 28.3.2009, 9:45 pm CET).
Portugal has started the qualifying Group 1 as big favourite, but after four fixtures the team of coach Carlos Queiroz stands already under pressure. Portugal won the first qualifying match against Malta (4:0), then they lost the home match against Denmark (2:3) and draws against Sweden and Albania (both 0:0). With it the Portuguese are only on the 4th rank. Sweden has got up to now as well as Portugal 5 points. However, the Swedes are still undefeated (1 win, 2 draws) and have one game in hand. Not in squad against Portugal is superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic (suspended).
