| On Saturday, 4th February at 16:00 (CET), Queens Park Rangers will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Loftus Road for Round 24 of the English Premier League. QPR's new look side had a promising start on Wednesday and will put their investments to the test for the first time at home. |

Mark Hughes' Rangers were arguably the most active club in England's January transfer window, bringing in strikers Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora, Taye Taiwo in midfield and Nedum Onuoha in defense. Cisse's introduction was immediately felt as he fired QPR into the lead on his debut match Tuesday against Aston Villa. Rangers would end up blowing a two goal lead to emerge with only a point, but it was encouraging to see the Lazio-man have that kind of effect on the London side. Hughes will be without Kieron Dyer and Alejandro Faurlin against Wolves.
Wolverhampton's fight to stay in the Premier League will be under increased scrutiny in the next two matches when the West-Midlands side face QPR and West Bromwich consecutively. Both matches are arguably winable and Mick McCarthy will be crossing his fingers for at least four points from the two encounters. McCarthy brought in defender Sebastien Bassong from Tottenham Hotspur to address his side's woeful defense which has allowed 43 goals in just 23 matches. Wolves will be without Karl Henry, who continues to serve a suspension for the match against QPR.
