| On Saturday, 11th February at 18:30 (CET), Tottenham Hotspur will host Newcastle United at White Hart Lane for Round 25 of the English Premier League. The hosts are pegged strong favourites to win outright, but the visitors have won four of their last five and should not be underestimated. |

Harry Redknapp's court worries have ended but his injury woes continue. Rafael Van der Vaart, Jermaine Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Younes Kaboul are still struggling for fitness and their absence has significantly stymied the potency of the attack. When Tottenham last met Newcastle in October, it was Van der Vaart and Defoe who scored the goals to help Spurs claim a point on the road (2-2). Tottenham have a seven point cushion between them and the nearest challengers for third place but the same gap has extended itself to the top of the table.
Leading goalscorer Demba Ba re-assimilated perfectly after his brief spell in the Africa Cup of Nations for Senegal. The Newcastle hitman scored in his first match back against Aston Villa, helping the Magpies to yet another win (2-1) that boosted them to 5th place. The purchase of fellow Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse from SC Freiburg looks to have been an intelligent move on the part of Alan Pardew as he linked up well with his countryman and found the net in his first Premier League match. Facing Tottenham at White Hart Lane is an excellent opportunity to see how they will perform against top shelf competition.

With Tottenham's extensive injury concerns to key players, this match could be kept close by Newcastle. With the generous spread, a one goal cushion seems a good choice for the visitors.
Tip: Newcastle +1.25 (Asian Handicap)
