For Udinese, thursday's game against Werder Bremen is going to be the match of the year (at least until now). Certainly its not going to be an easy task to beat Diego & co, even more difficult considering the result of the first game (3-1 for Werder). To go to the semi - finals the friulans would have to win 2-0 or, if Werder manages to score, with a difference of three goals. The task will therefore be to attack but without forgetting to pay attention to the defense. At least Quagliarella's goal in Bremen has left some hope for the italian team, if they manage to transform their occasions (of which they had a lot in the first game) this time everything is possible.
Unfortunately for Udinese, Di Natale, Coda, Ferronetti and Tissone will not be able to play and it's also not sure yet if Isla will recover from his injury in Reggio Calabria. But all these absent players can't be an excuse for Udinese if they want to go to the next round and continue their european adventure.
Now that Udinese have assured (also mathematically) that they will stay in Serie A, they can concentrate fully on the game against Werder. If they manage to eliminate the germans, everything seems possible - even the final, as beating Hamburg (who might be their adversary then) in the semi final does not seem something totally out of reach.
One thing is sure: Thursday evening all the italian football supporters (or almost all of them) will be on Udinese's side as they are already< the country's last remaining team in the european competitions. If they don't have as much bad luck as in the first game, Udinese should definitely be able to beat Werder. In my opinion, Quagliarella & co will also do so, even if the result may not be sufficient to go to the semi - final, but let's see...
My tip therefore is
1, home victory for Udinese
