Thursday evening (8:45 p.m.) the return match of the Coppa Italia between Inter and Sampdoria will be played at San Siro.
In the first game the "blucerchiati" have surprised everyone, beating the (probably) next champion of Italy with 3-0. A huge delusion for Mourinho and his team who certainly wanted to compensate the elimination in Champions League with two successes in the italian competitions (Serie A and Coppa Italia). The scudetto already belongs to Inter (at least almost) but it will be very difficult for Ibrahimovic and his team mates to win the Coppa Italia as well. They would have to beat "Samp" with three goals difference or even four goals difference if the ligurians manage to score as well... Inter has managed to do so in 2007 in Serie A (beating Sampdoria 3-0), but this time it will be extremely difficult.
For the "doriani" the cup is the last real challenge this year, as in Serie A there's not a lot left to win, neither to lose (Sampdoria being at the 13th place with 14 points distance to the relegation zone and 12 points from the UEFA cup zone...). They certainly want to go to the final and for Inter it might not be easy to even beat them, the last game between the two sides at San Siro also finished only 1-0 for Inter...
Sampdoria's coach Mazzarri has declared that he wants to make his players forget the result from the first game to avoid any false illusion that they could take this game easy or that they would not have to give 100%.
Inter on the other hand will also want to win this game, but I'm not sure if they will really manage to motivate themselves like they should for this game, as the Coppa is certainly not their priority this season.
In my opinion Sampdoria will surprise again, achieving a draw and going to this year's Coppa Italia final.
