Facing elimination, the Flames will fight for their playoff lives tonight at the Pengrowth Saddledome. They've been strong all season-long in their lair, and also won their first two home meetings against the Hakws in this series. After their brutal performance in game 5, expect them to react and battle very hard. The Hawks may be just one game away from winning the series, but their young core is not used to face the intensity of a team fighting for survival. This discovery may cost them the game, especially on opponent's ice.

Anaheim Ducks – San Jose Sharks
Series: Ducks lead 3-2
They may have missed their first chance of winning the series, but the Ducks still have two opportunities left, and their best shot is certainly tonight on home ice. They felt only 3-2 in overtime in during game 5, while the Sharks were benefiting from home ice, desperation time, and an unusual Joe Thornton, who had a 3 points performance from the first time of his career in the post-season. It's still desperation time for San Jose, but they'll no longer have the home ice tonight. And it's hard to believe that Thornton will be that good again. Anyway, the Ducks certainly don't want this series to go to game 7, which should be held in San Jose, so they'll probably show their best effort to conclude this series on home ice tonight.
