Eight points in front of a relegation position lie
Energie Cottbus. This seems a pretty save position, but considering that Cottbus won just a single match in 2012, a victory against Rostock would be quite helpful. Under new coach Bommer the defense has made clear progress, but up front Energie are harmless, scored just three goals in the last six matches. Also the recovery of top striker Dimitar Rangelov hasn't changed much at it. Cottbus are one of the worst home sides in 2. Bundesliga, won just three times at home so far (3-7-4).

Hansa Rostock have found back to life, surprised with two victories against teams from the upper end of the table. A 1:0 victory at 1860 Munich followed a 2:1 home win against Düsseldorf on Friday. Rostock are not really able to play great football, but the last matches they showed big fighting spirit and passion. So they jumped to the play-off position and have decent chances again to stay in the league. Hansa haven't been very successful away from home (1-5-8), but at least lost only one of the last four away matches.
