The most important games of this weekend's Serie A are certainly Roma – Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and
Bologna – Catania at Bologna's Stadio dell’Ara, both will take place
Sunday at 3 p.m..
Bologna FC has now within reach which seemed almost impossible some weeks ago: salvation. In fact things already seemed to be decided in favor of
Torino until the last minute of their game against Genoa, but then suddenly Genoa scored again, they won the game 3-2 and put in real troubles Torino whose players completely lost control after the final whistle - result: seven (!) disqualified players.
Bologna, who obtained an ok draw (0-0) in Verona against Chievo, now find themselves in the position of being able to
make sure their salvation with a home victory against
Catania. In this case the team from Emilia Romagna would remain in Serie A even in the unlikely case of a victory of Torino in Rome against AS Roma, because the direct encounters speak in favour of Bologna (thanks to Di Vaio`s last minute goal in the game between Torino and Bologna, another decisive last minute goal in this struggle for salvation...).
Even if the red-and-blue coach
Papadopulo remembers that they have not achieved salvation yet, of course now his team has all the chances to remain in Serie A, also because for Catania, the season is more or less over, they have nothing left to win nor to lose. What's more the sicilians are not to strong away and Bologna has already won the first game in Catania (2-1), so the facts seem to speak for Bologna.
Of course the "rossoblú" can't allow themselves to feel too save, because in this season, and especially in the race for salvation, there have already been too many surprises, too many last minute goals who have completely changed the situation from one minute to the other, so they have to take care.
Then again, of course, it will be extremely difficult for Torino to beat Roma, and even harder after the seven disqualifications following their players' collective freak-out after the game against Genoa...
One thing is certain - one big team of italian football will have to go to Serie B, whether it will be Bologna FC or Torino, we will know Sunday at 4:45 p.m.
In my opinion it will be Toro as Bologna will beat Catania, put an end to all discussions and will achieve salvation.
My tip is
1, home victory for Bologna, the best odd is on
