The italian adventure continues, if not in the Confederations Cup, at least at the
European Under-21 Championship in Sweden -
Pierluigi Casiraghi´s azzurri have won their group (after two victories against home team Sweden and White Russia and a draw against Serbia) and now they have to play against
Germany, coached by Horst Hrubesch (friday, 08:45 p.m.).
The germans have had a lot of problems to get qualified, in the end they made it with a not really brilliant draw against the already qualified english team who played without a lot of important players. If they want to beat Italy as well, they will have to make a different kind of game, considering that the italian youngsters have so far done what you would have expected the team of
Marcello Lippi to do in Southafrica - they 've played excellent games and scored the decisive goals (above all
Balotelli, Paloschi and Robert Acquafresca, who has been taken under contract by Atalanta Bergamo and who is already compared to the great
Pippo Inzaghi...). Fortunately for the italians
Mario Balotelli will play again - the Inter forward player had to leave out the game against the white russians after his red card against Sweden.
If the azzurri continue that way they will go very far in this Championship, of course the goal is to win it, and in fact, with players like that everything is possible. First they will have to beat the germans, which in my opinion they will do easily -
