We're only at the second round of this year's Serie A and there's already the first big game:
Milan vs Inter, the
derby of Milan, saturday evening (kick-off at 7:45 p.m.) at the
San Siro stadium.
The team of José Mourinho has started into the new season with a not really brilliant home-draw against Bari (1-1) while the "rossoneri" have beaten Siena (2-1) with two goals by
Pato and a good game of
Ronaldinho. According to Mourinho Milan are now the favorites in the derby, the reply of their president
Galliani: "He says that because he's a clever guy.We were not dead before and we are not the favorites now."
Indeed Milan has been declared dead by some after their brasilian star
Kaká had left the club, but now they have made a nice debut to this season while their rivals Inter are already under pressure. But of course one match doesn't tell anything about the rest of the season, there are still 35 matches to be played, a lot of things can happen and Inter is still a new team where (with
Eto'o, without
Ibrahimovic). But also for Milan it will be a strange sensation to play the first derby without
Paolo Maldini after all those years...
So there are many changes for Inter as for AC Milan, it's still too early to tell how the season will be for both of the teams, the next games will tell if Inter has already a team who can win the Champions League and if the Milan of
Leonardo is stronger or weaker than the one of
Ancelotti.
The fact of playing in front of their home-crowd seems to be a positive fact for Milan, as well as their game against Siena, but still I think the result of the derby will be a draw.
My tip is x,
