Croatia vs. Germany

With Croatia and Germany two winners of the first matchday meet. The Croatians defeated Austria by a penalty-goal of Luka Modrić with 1:0, Germany celebrated thanks to two goals of Lukas Podolski an unthreatened 2:0-win against Poland. While Germany determined the game against Poland clearly, Croatia had more troubles against Austria than expected. Above all, during the last 20 minutes Austria was better, but Croatia saved the lead about the time.
Germany counts for me to the big favourites of this EURO 2008 and will win against Croatia. I bet here on a victory of Germany.

Austria vs. Poland

For Austria the EURO08 began very badly. Already after four minutes Austria dated back with 0:1, Modric of Croatia hit by penalty. However, with continuation of the game Austria became better. The changed players Vastic, Korkmaz and Kienast provided for good offensive scenes, only the expected goal did not want to succeed. On the other side Poland had no chance against Germany. The team of Leo Beenhakker was demanded too much, above all, in half 1 and lost finally with 0:2.
For Austria as well as Poland only a victory counts. I believe that Austria wins against Poland and protects with it the chance of the quarterfinal.
