The first step into EURO 2008 wasn't the most successful one for Italian. Three goals from Netherlands aren't what Italian fans expect from the first appearence of Italian national team on EURO. The defense just didn't work and
Buffon as he said, played one of the worst games in national team. After
Delpiero came in, in 64th minute, the Italian offensive started to play a little bit better and showed possibility of playing better in next matches.
On the other hand, Romanians should be happy about their first match. Or at least about the result of it. They didn't allow French players to score, because they gave them no real chance to do it.But they haven't showed anything about offensive play. The performance of
Mutu was a disappointment for me.
Italians should, if they want to qualify to Quarterfinals, win. And I think they will manage to do it.
