Jürgen Melzer played a very strong first round match at the US Open 2009. He beat Marat Safin in 4 sets (1-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4). After losing first set Melzer become stronger and stronger, above all at his own serve. Now the Austrian number 1 faces with Juan Martin Del Potro on a heavy opponent. The 20 years old Argentine is the number 6 of the world and also of the tournament. In the first round Del Potro beat Juan Monaco clearly (6-3, 6-3, 6-1). Del Porto leads against Melzer in Head-to-head with 4-0.
My tip: Jürgen Melzer is playing very well at the moment. He could make a surprise. It´s a risky tip, but I bet on Melzer.
