The first mid-week match day of this season of Serie A will be played on wednesday evening (8:45 p.m.). On the program there's one of the classics of italian football:
Inter vs Napoli, the duel between two big teams with high hopes for this season.
José Mourinho's Inter has already played its first big game in Champions League against FC Barcelona, obtaining a 0-0 draw at San Siro with the catalans way stronger and with a much higher level of ball possession (Inter being, according to Mourinho, only the champions of the game without the ball...).
In the championship the Nerazzurri have had a much better start, beating their red and black neighbours of Milan 4-0, and for the moment being on the third place in the championship after Genoa and Juventus.
Donadoni's Napoli on the other side have so far non been able to fullfill their supporters' expectations, saturday evening they only got a deceiving 0-0 home draw against Udinese (in spite of playing quite a decent game), and finding themselves now only on the 13th place with four points out of four games, which is not at all what their fans would have wanted to see from their team.
Napoli therefore needs victories quite urgently, otherwise the situation becomes uncomfortable for their coach, but this wont be easy if we look at their program for the next weeks: Inter in San Siro, Siena at home and then Roma at the Stadio Olimpico...
Quite a difficult situation for
Hoffer and company, and unfortunately for them I dont think they can expect much from the game at San Siro. The victories will come but Napoli will still have to be patient.
I think Inter will win this game, the
exact result might be
1-0. The
