This week we'll see the first big match of this year's
Champions League for
Juventus: In
Group A the bianconeri will play against
Bayern Munich, the team of
Franck Ribéry and
Luca Toni (who, of course, won't play against Juve) Wednesday evening in the Allianz Arena in Munich.
After the shock of the first game against
Bordeaux (where Juventus only got a deceiving 1-1 home draw)
Diego, Trezeguet & company will have to play much better against the bavarian team if they don't want to see their european ambitions vanish after only two games...
At least their brasilian forward Diego already knows the german team quite well, as he has played against them several times with his ex-team Werder Bremen. Maybe he can give some advices to his teammates.
Luis Van Gaal and his team are in a difficult situation as well - they have had a very bad start to the german Bundesliga, then they seemed to have left their problems behind, winning also their first Champions League game (3-0 in Israel against Maccabi Haifa), but after this weekend's defeat in Hamburg (0-1) the troubles have returned.
So the situation is a bit similar to the one of Juventus who have made some brilliant games in the Serie A, but after this week's draw against Bologna, there is a lot of discussion about the new system of Juve's coach Ferrara.
Bayern vs Juve is therefore the duel between two big names of european football who are both in a difficult situation - let's see who manages to get out of it at least for some days...
Bayern Munich - Juventus
Allianz Arena Munich
Wednesday 30th September 2009
Kick-off 8:45 p.m.
In my opinion Bayern will be too strong for Juventus (even without Toni) and will win this game.
So my tip is
1, home victory for Bayern - the
best odd is on
