Matchday 12 of the
tipp3-Bundesliga brings on Sunday the duel between
SK Rapid Vienna and
SV Mattersburg at the Hanappi Stadium. Rapid is table fourth and will rehabilitate with a win for the 1-5 Europa League defeat against Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
SK Rapid Vienna had to accept in the last days two bitter defeats. At first Pacult´s side lost the league game versus Sturm Graz 0-1, then they were in the Europa League fixture in Tel-Aviv against Hapoel without a chance and lost 1-5. So the team around captain Steffen Hofmann will rehabilitate with a win against Mattersburg for their EL-defeat. SCR coach Peter Pacult will have to pass on the injured players Hannes Eder and Markus Heikkinen plus Nikica Jelavic (suspended).
For SV Mattersburg the Bundesliga season 2009/10 runs better than expected. In contrast to the last season, where Mattersburg was involved in the struggle against relegation, the team of coach Franz Lederer is on a secured midfield rank. At the moment SVM faces rank 6, already 10 points in front of Austria Kärnten. But their balance in away games is negative. Mattersburg lost 4 of their 5 away games without scoring a goal.
