After 1-1 in regular time Babbel´s side won against VfB Lübeck 3-1 through goals from Sami Khedira (109.) and Cacau (117.). In the league Stuttgart had lost their last 3 games and fallen back on table rank 14 - equal on points with second last VfL Bochum. VfB Coach Markus Babbel will have to pass on the injured players Martin Lanig (cruciate ligament rupture) und Cacau (rupture of a muscle fibre).
