Apart from the Champions League, this week the italian teams are also busy in the newly created Europa League - for instance Genoa who receives french team OSC Lille (thursday 5th Nov, 7 p.m.).

Genoa is doing well in the italian Serie A, they've beaten Fiorentina (thanks to goals by Palladino and Mesto) just when some people were already talking of a small crisis, and this weekend Gasperini's boys have achieved a draw in Palermo (0-0) where even Juventus had lost.
In Europa League on the other hand the rossoblù have lost their last two games (in Valencia and Lille), but thanks to their home victory against Slavia Prague everything is still possible. With a victory over the french team and a simultaneous draw between Valencia and Slavia, Genoa would already be on the second place together with the spanish.

Of course OSC Lille will not be easy to beat - remembering that they had beaten the italians with a 3-0 in the first game. In Europa Leagua the french are on the first place of their group with 7 points, in the french Ligue 1 they are only on a deceiving 15th place, even after this weekend's victory in Grenoble (2-0).

I think the "rossoblù" should not be intimidated by the result of the first game, at their home stadium Marassi it will surely be a different game which Genoa might also win.
