The upcoming 15th round of the
tipp3-Bundesliga brings on Sunday the duel between
LASK Linz and
SK Rapid Vienna. LASK is on table rank 6 but at the moment in bad form, while Rapid Vienna has won the last 3 league games and is table second. On Thursday Pacult´s side lost the home game in the UEFA Europa League against Hapoel Tel-Aviv 0-3.
LASK Linz started better than expected in the 2009/10 season but in the last weeks their form becomes very moderate. LASK is since 6 league games without a win and so they are fallen back in the table on rank 6, only 1 point before second last Kapfenberg. The last round brought a heavy 2-7 defeat against SV Kapfenberg. Altogether Hamann´s side received 38 goals so far, that are 2.7 per game. Merely table last Austria Kärnten received more goals against (39). So LASK reacted on that fact and engaged Jürgen Macho as new keeper. Macho was the Austrian keeper at the EURO 2008 and also Rapid keeper in 2004. So his debut for LASK will become very special. Roman Wallner, leader of the goal scorers list and also a former Rapid player, will be miss the match (booked on a yellow-red card vs. Kapfenberg).
SK Rapid Vienna is in the tipp3-Bundesliga on top. The Viennese team is table second and on minus points even league leader. Rapid has won the last 3 league games: 4:0 vs. SV Mattersburg, 3:1 vs. Austria Kärnten and 1:0 vs. SV Ried. Less well was their performance in the Europa League home game against Hapoel Tel-Aviv, where Pacult´s side lost 0-3. In the away game against LASK coach Peter Pacult will have to pass on the booked players Rene Gartler and Markus Katzer.
