Wigan Athletic have been anything but predictable this season. In September they lost to Arsenal 4-0 only to turn around the next week and defeat
Chelsea 3-1. At 13th in the Premier League table, Wigan's away form has been a little more steady. After defeating Aston Villa 2-0 in the first week, they have lost every away game except against newly promoted Burnley.
Roberto Martinez will have a full squad this Saturday and will start his best striker
Hugo Rodallega. Rodallega has scored 5 times in 12 games and is currently the team's leading scorer. The last time Wigan met
Tottenham was in January and they were successful at home with a 1-0 victory.
This week's game will be at
White Hart Lane, however, and
Robbie Keane was able to lead his team to a 2-0 win over Sunderland in their last match here.
Tottenham will be without centre-back Ledley King but are bolstered with the return of English International Aaron Lennon. Star player
Luka Modric will still be unavailable as he continues his recovery from a fractured fibula.
Harry Redknapp has led his team to an amazing start this season and are currently 4th overall and just 3 points behind the 2nd and 3rd placed teams (Arsenal and Manchester United). Redknapp will field a strong and motivated squad this week as he tries to break the Top 4.
Tottenham have played well at home recently which is a clear contrast to
Wigan's poor away form. With the surprisingly good start
Tottenham has had this season, the Hotspurs will want to continue to impress in front of their home fans.
