FC Basel vs. AC Bellinzona

In the 3rd round of the Swiss Super League champion FC Basel faces on promoted team AC Bellinzona. Basel well started in the new season: 2 matches, 2 wins – goal difference 3:1. In round 1 Basel won against vice champion YB Bern with 2:1, in round 2 Grasshopper Zurich was with 1:0 defeated. Against Bellinzona the third win en suite would have to succeed, particularly as Basel is extremely home-strong. Last season Basel could win 15 of 18 home matches (15 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss).
Bellinzona created last season as whole second behind Vaduz the promotion into the highest swiss football league. Bellinzona has denied in this season only one match: 1:2-defeat against Neuchatel Xamax. The match against Grasshopper from round 1 was called off.
Basel goes as clear favorite into this match and I am sure that Basel will also win.
