After losing their last Premier League match to
Bolton,
Fulham was able to bounce back in the Europa League to get a much needed 3 points from CSKA Sofia. Though this was certainly a boost for the London club, the Premier League will continue to occupy
Roy Hodgson's focus. Despite this, several starters will likely be tired after the high pace match with CSKA. The Cottagers have been playing well at home and have allowed less than a goal on average per game. Hodgson does have some injury concerns as Dickson Etuhu, Andy Johnson and Diomansy Kamara will all be sidelined for this match. Key players
Paul Konchesky and
Erik Nevland will return however, and Fulham know they have a good chance against a weak away side.
Sunderland started out the season with some impressive performances against the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. Their recent performance has been somewhat of a let-down.
Steve Bruce continues to see his team struggle on the road; the Black Cats have a 1-1-5 away record. Tomorrow's game will see the return of striker
Kenwyne Jones who likely start alongside the team's top scorer,
Darren Bent. Bent has scored 9 times in 14 matches and Steve Bruce will likely start his team on an attacking approach to break their terrible away form.
Although the Black Cats will likely adopt an offensive approach here,
Fulham have had impeccable defense while at home and
Sunderland have only scored an average 0.71 goals while on the road. This clash of two middle-table teams will likely go off without sparks and don't expect too many goals.
