Now that the Champions Leauge is over for this year we can concentrate fully on the last games of the Europa League group phase. Wednesday evening for instance AS Roma will go to Bulgaria to play against CSKA Sofia (kick-off at 7 p.m.).

For the team of Claudio Ranieri this game is only about saving their first place, as the giallorossi are already mathematically qualified for the next round. If Roma should lose or only achieve a draw, the first place would be in danger as Basle is only one point, the english team of Fulham only two points behind them. The bulgarian team of CSKA is the only team in this group that has no more chance to qualify for the next round, as they are on the last place with only one point. A victory should therefore be a realistic goal for Roma, considering also the last games of the giallorossi. Sunday evening's game against Sampdoria finished with a 0-0, but Roma has had their occasions and they have demonstrated to be a very compact and strong team.

As the game in Sofia is no longer that important for Roma, they will leave at home players like "il capitano" Francesco Totti or also Vucinic. Also the french player Mexes will have to leave out the game, in his case the reason is his knee injury.
