On Matchday 5 they lost 0-2 at Hamburg against HSV and therewith the last chance on a ticket for the ko-stage. In the national championship they are unbeaten since 9 games (7 wins, 2 draws) and therewith league leader. In the game on Thursday against Celtic Glasgow coach Peter Pacult will have to pass on Rene Gartler and Hannes Eder (both injured).
Celtic Glasgow started in contrast to Rapid Vienna with a defeat in the UEFA Europa League group stage. Celtic lost the away game against Hapoel Tel-Aviv 1-2. Then followed the 1-1 against Rapid Vienna and a 0-1 at home against Hamburger SV. In the last two group games Celtic become stronger. First they played 0-0 at Hamburg against HSV and then Celtic beat Hapoel 2-0. In the Scottish Premier League they are league leader. The last round brought a 3-2 away win against Motherwell FC.
