Inter will receive
Lazio, sunday evening at the
San Siro.
The team of
José Mourinho is still leading the table with 5 points ahead of
Milan and 6 points ahead of
Juve, an advantage that could have been even bigger if the nerazzurri hadn't given away some precious points in the last games (1-1 in Bergamo and 1-2 against Juve). That way Milan and Juventus can still have a bit of hope to maybe close the gap between them and Inter in the second half of the season.
Lazio is only on the 15th place in the Serie A, a really deceiving fact for their supporters who were hoping for much more before the beginning of the season. Also in the Europa League the team of
Ballardini has been a big disappointment (after their mathematical elimination against Salzburg they even lost the last home game against Levski Sofia), but at least the players can now fully concentrate on the championship. It will of course be very difficult to get the precious points at San Siro against Inter, but according to Ballardini his boys are "ready to play a great game" - and they will need a great performance, indeed.
