CD Tenerife, one of the relegated teams of the last season (third place in Spains Segunda Division), will welcome
FC Barcelona, leader of the Primera Division
, in the Heliodoro Rodriguez Santa Cruz de Tenerife Stadium, to play it's second match in the year 2010. The game begins at 9 p.m.
CD Tenerife finds itself on place 17 of the Primera Division, what means that they desperately need points to stay in Spains highest league. Untill now, the team of manager Jose Luis Oltra just made fifteen points in sixteen games, scored fifteen goals and received thirty. Their last league game, CD Tenerife lost 2:0 against Racing Santander (away game). And for sure it neither won't be easy to score points in the following game against Barcelona.
For the team of manager Pep Guardiola, the year 2010 didn't start very good. On the last matchday, the FC Barcelona for the first time in this season lost points in the Camp Nou (1:1 against Villareal). Anyhow, Barcelona staid on the first place of the Primera Division, because Real Madrid didn't win their away game against Osasuna (1:1). Last tuesday, Barcelona lost their first leg game in the Copa del Rey against Sevilla (1:2, Camp Nou). For sure, Barcelona will do everything to win their game on Sunday and to stay in front of the spanish league.
