On the program this wednesday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence: Fiorentina vs Lazio, for the quarter finals of Coppa Italia (Tim Cup).

It's the game between two teams who both have to digest a bitter defeat of this weekend: Cesare Prandelli's Fiorentina has surprisingly lost at home against Bologna (1-2) while the team of Ballardini have lost in Bergamo against Atalanta (0-3), a less surprising but still a very bitter result considering Lazio's situation in the Serie A where they are on a deceiving 16th place at the moment. 

Wednesday's match is therefore quite important for both teams, and in fact players of both teams say that they want to win the competition this year - Fiorentina's Gilardino, for instance, has said that he wants to win the Coppa Italia because, after having won the World Cup and the Champions League, the italian Cup is still missing in his collection.
Gilardino will surely play the game on wednesday, while his collegues Jovetic and Zanetti still have to make a break. As for Lazio, they will have to play without Floccari, Firmani and Foggia (and also Meghni, who plays the African Cup of Nations).
