Winter and record champion SK Rapid Vienna started with a 2:4 defeat at LASK Linz in the spring season followed by a 2:2 draw last weekend at SC Magna Wr. Neustadt. So they are fallen back on table rank 2. Now the first win should succeed in the first spring home match. Rapid Vienna have won 9 of their 10 home games at "St. Hanappi". Just RB Salzburg reached in the autumn round a 2:2 draw at Rapid Vienna.

Red Bull Salzburg´s achievements in the spring season were different. In the tipp3-Bundesliga they are top. RB Salzburg have won both spring matches - 2:1 at SV Ried and 3:0 at home against LASK Linz - and becomes league leader. Less well was their achievement in the ÖFB Cup and the UEFA Europa League. In the national cup competition RB Salzburg have lost at Sturm Graz with 0:2 and in the Europa League Round of 32 they were defeated by Standard Liége 2:3 on aggregate.
