Werder Bremen vs. Valencia CF

Thursday, 18 March 2010, 19:00

Weserstadion, Bremen

Werder Bremen has to play against Valencia without their team captain Thorsten Frings. He damaged his hip in Sundays 1:0 victory against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Werder Bremen doesn´t set a date for the return of the 33-year-old player who scored a penalty goal against Valencia. Mesut Özil was also injured but Bremen expect the 21-year-old to return for the match against Valencia.

It will be a tuff game for Valencia at the Weserstadion of Bremen. After the draw in Valencia the Club from midfielder Juan Mata, who scored a second-half equalizer, needs a goal to keep their chances alive. Not easy for them because David Albelda and David Navarro are injured and can´t play against Werder Bremen. Also Éver Banega and Pablo Hernández are blocked after their yellow and red cards.

My tip: Win Werder Bremen.
