Wednesday, the 31
st of march, at 8.45 p.m. will happen the first leg of the eighth final of the UEFA Champions League between the
Arsenal Football Club and the
FC Barcelona. We are awaiting a very interesting game in the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal is on the third place of the Premier League, still with chances to win the championship. Group H of the Champions League, the team of manager Arsene Wenger won with thirteen points (four victories, one draw, one defeat). In the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal won all of their Champions League games. In the eighth final, the gunners kicked out the FC Porto (2:1 away, 5:0 at home). Their last league match, Arsenal tied 1:1 with Birmingham City (away game – goal of Arsenal scored by Samir Nasri).
The FC Barcelona won Group F of the Champons League in which they played with Internazionale Milano, Rubin Kazan and Dynamo Kviv. The Catalans won three games, tied two and lost one (1:2 against Rubin Kazan in the Camp Nou). In the eighth final, Barcelona kicked out the VfB Stuttgart (1:1 in the Allianz Arena, 4:0 in the Camp Nou). Their last league game, the team of manager Pep Guardiola won 0:1 against Mallorca in an away game. The goal was scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
