On the program this wednesday evening at
San Siro stadium:
Inter - CSKA Moscow, first game of the
quarter finals of the
UEFA Champions League.
The team of José Mourinho still has to digest the defeat against Roma (1-2) from last weekend, which has reopened the race for the scudetto. For the moment of course the nerazzurri will have to quickly forget about their delusion and fully concentrate on the first game against the russians, as it might already be decisive for their future in the Champions League. Of course Inter could have gotten a much more difficult team than CSKA in the quarter finals, with names like Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern or Arsenal still in the competition.
Still Inter shouldn't yet think too much about the semifinal, as the russians are a strong team and they have the luck of playing the second game in Moscow. For Sneijder, Milito & co it will therefore be important to win the first game at San Siro, possibly with at least two goals and without receiving a goal from the russians of CSKA. Otherwise the game in Russia might become very uncomfortable for the nerazzurri, even if they have already proven that they are able to win also more difficult away games (Chelsea ...).
