Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown their desire to stay in the Premiership with a string of impressive performances in the last few weeks. Their last 4 matches saw them accumulate 8 points, including maximum points against relegation rivals Burnley and West Ham. Achieving single point draws against Aston Villa and Everton is an equally impressive feat. Wolves are now 5 points ahead of relegation danger and have a small cushion ahead of their trip south. The lack of pressure on the squad could make them dangerous at the Emirates.
Arsenal are effectively out of the title race after a 1-1 away draw at Birmingham last Saturday. The Gunners then made an impressive comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League, scoring two goals in the final minutes of the game and levelling the goal difference. Though an impressive accomplishment, the match showed how unmotivated Arsenal's players are at the moment and it wasn't until Theo Walcott was introduced in the final minutes that the Gunners looked alive. Captain Cesc Fabregas may have broken his leg in this match and if so, will be a huge blow for Arsenal's morale. Arshavin and Gallas also picked up minor injuries and could be out for the match against Wolverhampton.
The Gunners are out of the title race and with a top four spot secured will show a similar motivation that they displayed against Barcelona. With the absence of Fabregas, Arshavin and Gallas, Wolverhampton's chances improve greatly. Arsenal may come away with a victory here, but the Wolves' recent form will have the squad confident and ready to give the Gunners a run for their money.
