On the coming week-end (Friday 12.9. and Saturday 13.9.) the ÖFB-Cup goes into the 2nd round. Besides, 30 clubs fight for the promotion into the third round of the Austrian football cup. SV Horn – current second in the Regionalliga Ost (3rd league) and last year's winner of the ÖFB-Amateur cup – is set for the 3rd round.

Rapid Amateure vs. Altach

In this match the roles are distributed clearly. Anything but a victory of Sturm Graz would be a big surprise. SPG Neuhofen Ried, the amateur team of Bundesliga-club SV Ried, plays in the Landesliga West (4th league). In the 1st round of the ÖFB-Cup Neuhofen Ried won against SC Schwaz with 4:1. Sturm Graz is in the national league current on the 2nd rank and counts this season to the enlarged circle of the title favourites.

Austria Kärnten vs. SV Ried
The top match of the 2nd round of the ÖFB-Cup. It is the only duel, while two Bundesliga team meets. Austria Kärnten has won the last three matches in the Bundesliga and has advanced with it on the 6th rank. Goalkeeper Andreas Schranz remained in all three matches without goal against. Ried lies in the league table directly behind Kärnten on place 7. The big weakness of SV Ried are the away matches. From present four seasonal away matches everybody got lost.

DSV Leoben vs. SK Rapid Wien
In the last match of our tip preview DSV Leoben faces on Rapid Wien. Leoben is current fifth of the ADEG-Liga (2nd league). The present seasonal statistics: 2 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss. In the 1st round of the ÖFB-Cup Leoben won away against SV Oberwart with 3:0. Rapid Wien still had less problems. The Austrian champion celebrated away against FC Kärnten a 5:0-victory. Also in the league is Rapid at the moment well in shot. After 6 victories in a row is the team of trainer Peter Pacult on first place. Above all the forward duo Hoffer/Maierhofer scores just as one likes. Together they scored in the first 8 rounds already 13 goals.
