Magath is coming home!
For Wolfsburg coach Magath it would be a special satisfaction, to kick Bayern Munich out of the German cup. After the drawn in Innsbruck, Altach is full of self-confidence. Mighty at home, they want to beat Sturm and plan to get definitely out of the relegation fight. Sturm on the other side is not playing easy like in autumn. Looks like the possible title put the team under pressure. But no one is talking about it in Graz at this point of time. Leader Salzburg is far away und the new season target is the UEFA-Cup.
SV Ried – SV Mattersburg
Fight in the “no man’s land”!
The victory against Rapid was good for the team spirit in Mattersburg. But it was only three points. For Matterburg there seems to be season over. 7 points distance to the UEFA-Cup, 15 points distance to the relegation fight. The same is Ried. No chance to get up in the scale, no dangerous to get in troubles with leaving the 1st Division. So both are able to plan for the next season.
Linzer ASK – Wacker Innsbruck
LASK wants to stay in touch!
Anything else than a victory against Innsbruck will be a disappointment for LASK. Innsbruck is back at the end of the scale and the last victory dates from February the 16th. So all that counts for LASK are three points. Otherwise the team of coach Daxbacher will be out of the title fight, if there would not happen a miracle.
FC Kärnten – Red Bull Salzburg
Salzburg is going to defeat the title!
Looks like Salzburg is on the way to win the title second time in a row. After the clear victory against LASK, the distance to second Rapid is 4 points. But there is one problem. Salzburg is poor away and Kärnten get new self-confidence after the victory against Austria. Never the less, the Red Bull Team is big favourite and anything else than a victory of them would be a big surprise.
