For the two teams the final of the
French Cup will bring a good chance to reach a big title in a season, which isn't satisfactory for both sides: In the
Stade de France the guys of
Paris Saint Germain "receive" the
AS Monaco. It's the duel between the tenth and the ninth of the Ligue 1, and because of the fact that they missed their ambitions, they could qualify for an international Ligue in the case of a victory.
In the semi final the Parisiens won 1:0 contre Quevilly, a team which plays only in the CFA, but came under the last four in this competition. With the same result against Lens the AS Monaco made the step to the final. Concerning the fact, that the team of coach
Guy Lacombe did a very good job for months in the national championship and because of their possibilities the Monacans are the favorits.
But the group of the South of France didn't conserve his form. On Tuesday, the players around
Nene made only a draw of 1:1 contre Le Mans. On the other side Paris Saint Germain lost 0:4 at Grenoble, which is the last team in the ranking.
On Saturday, until
8.45 p.m., the two teams are playing in the biggest stadium of France, and that should be a lot of motivation too, so that they could win one of the three big titles in the French football.
