Sunday afternoon we'll finally know who will
this year's Serie A champions - will it be
Inter and
José Mourinho or
Claudio Ranieri's
AS Roma? The
giallorossi have played a fantastic season with a great comeback in the second half, but with the home defeat against Sampdoria they have maybe lost everything - maybe, because there's still a bit of hope for
Totti,
Toni & co. It's easy: Roma has to beat
Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi and Inter has to lose in
Siena, that's all. If the nerazzurri win or make a draw, then the scudetto goes to Inter.
And to tell the truth, only the most optimistic romanisti can really hope that Siena will beat Inter: the tuscans are already mathematically in the Serie B, they have lost their last home match by 1-2 against Palermo, the only thing that might give some hope to Roma is that Siena's president Massimo Mezzaroma, is from Rome and supports AS Roma. If we leave aside the rumours (Mourinho has talked about a special reward from Roma to Siena if they win), then for Siena this match is really mainly about showing that they are a proud team, willing to deliver a great last Serie A performance to their fans.
Inter will of course play with all their usual stars, no one is disqualified or injured, we'll see all the big names from Maicon to Eto'o, Milito, Balotelli, ...
