Second matchday in
Group A:
France meets
Mexico at the
Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Both teams started with a draw in the
FIFA World Cup 2010, so they have to win their second match to protect the chance on the Round of 16. The French team has started the group as favourite, but their performance in the match against Uruguay was anything but convincing. On the other side Mexico played a strong opener against South Africa.
WC 2006 runners-up France started the 2010 tournament with a goalless draw against Uruguay. The
Les Bleus controlled the game without having big scoring chances. Coach Raymond Domenech nominated an offensive 4-3-3 system with Nicolas Anelka as centre forward and Frank Ribery and Sidney Govou as right- and left wings. French´s record scorer Thierry Henry was just substitute. Mexico played a strong opener match against South Africa, especially in the first half where Javier Aguirre's side have a lot of good chances. Best Mexican player was Giovani Dos Santos, but the late equaliser was scored by defender Rafael Marquez. Mexico plays as well as France a 4-3-3-system.

France have won five of their six meetings with Mexico. The performance of Domenech´s side against Uruguay was just moderate. On the other side the young Mexican team played a strong opener, but they didn’t use their chances. I bet here on a
DRAW.
