Argentina qualified after the 3:1 victory over Mexico for the quarterfinal. The most discussed scenes in the match were the opening goal in the26th minute by Carlos Tevez. Lionel Messi chipped the ball over the defense and Carlos Tevez, who was clearly offside, headed in. Referee Roberto Rosetti, who was also the referee at the World Cup Final 2006, allowed the goal. After the Argentineans doubled their lead everything was over for Mexico. Now the Argentineans try to take revenge for the quarterfinal defeat against German at the World Cup 2006.
Germany reached the quarterfinal of the World Cup in impressive manner, beating England 4:1. Klose and Podolski scored for the Germans and everything seemed over for England. But in 37th minute Frank Lampard´s shot clearly went in from the crossbar but referee Jorge Larrionda from Uruguay waved play on. A terrible mistake which maybe cost England the Tournament. Now Germany tries to kick Argentina out of the tournament like they did in 2006.

Argentina won all their games until now, Germany on the other lost against Serbia at the Group stage. Both teams came quit good along with the conditions until now. I think that Germany will be the better team in the end.
Last meeting: 3.March.2010, Friendly, Germany 0:1 Argentina
Wins Argentina: 8
Wins Germany: 5
Draws: 5
If it´s possible fort the German defenders to control Lionel Messi. I think Germany will be the better team. If Messi can score an early goal, Germany will have big problems.
