On Saturday the 24 of July the game
Red Bull Salzburg against
Wacker Innsbruck starts at 6:30pm during the second round of the
Austrian Bundesliga. The champion from the season 2009/10 wasn't able to win the first game in Kapfenberg so the must win against Innsbruck at home. Wacker made a very good performance in their first game against Rapid Wien, so it will not be easy for Salzburg to win this game.
The biggest problem from Salzburg is that they were not able to score. Often they were unlucky in front of the goal but they were also very nervous. Gonzalo Zarate and some other players got some good chances in Kapfenberg but finally the game ended with a 0:0 drawn. In the qualification for the Champions League they lost 0:1 against Torshavn which is a very embarrassing defeat but the reached the next round with a 5:1 final score.
Wacker Innsbruck made a very good game against Rapid and the almost finished every single attacking move with a goal. especially the goals from Marcel Schreter were beautiful. Now they can show if the victory against Rapid was just luck or if the team really got a high quality.

Salzburg bought with Joaquín Boghossian a 23 years old 1, 97 high new striker from Uruguay who is a type like Mark Janko. It is not sure if he will play against Innsbruck from the beginning. A problem for Salzburg can be the injured players because there are 6 players which are not able to play. This game is the first in the Bundesliga where Salzburg is playing on a natural pitch.
Last game: Wacker Innsbruck 1:2 Red Bull Salzburg (9.3 2008)
Wins Salzburg: 17
Wins Innsbruck: 18
Drawn: 17
It will be very hard for Innsbruck to play against Salzburg in there own stadium because we all know how good they can play. Now Salzburg is under pressure to win this game and I think they will win this game.
