On Sunday the first of August
Rapid Wien hosts the last year champion from
Salzburg during the 3rd round of the
Austrian tipp3 Bundesliga. The game starts at 4pm in Vienna. Rapid lost both games against Wacker Innsbruck and Wr. Neustadt a so they must win against Salzburg. Also Salzburg isn't very good at the moment but they just made one game in the Bundesliga because the game against Innsbruck was cancelled.
Also in the qualification for the Europa League Rapid showed us not a good performance. The won against Suduva 4:2 at home in the second round but in the next round the played 1:1 against Stara Zagora. Now they must win against Salzburg if they want to play in the upper schedule. Also Salzburg is not able to show how good they are because like Rapid the played just a 1:1 drawn in the CL-qualification but both teams from Austria were the better team in these games. The last game between this to teams ended also with a 1:1 drawn in Salzburg.

Especially the miss from Soma is very hard to compensate because he is an important defender. Sonnleitner is too young to make his job so Patocka must do Somas part. Perhaps Joaquín Boghossian will play his first game in the Austrian Bundesliga. With Rabiu Afolabi on the pitch Salzburg never lost a game against Rapid Wien.
